March 3, 2011 - appearance on HGTV SELLING NEW YORK - episode "Positive Change "

Ellen Rick came to Real Estate as a second career. It was a time in her life when she felt that she needed more time to travel and to have a more flexible schedule. WAS SHE EVER WRONG!

Since starting her Real Estate career at Douglas Elliman it has been a non stop ride. Meeting buyers, helping other experienced brokers and going to Open Houses…just learning the business. Suddenly it all seemed to click and things have been quickly changing...

As Ellen says, "This is the hardest thing that I have ever done, but I love what I do. From the moment that I leave my apartment in the morning, I feel like I am walking on a tightrope." Real Estate is not just putting the key in the door…it is a full service business, from the initial phone call to set the parameters, to the closing table, Ellen is your full service broker. She will go the extra mile to make sure that you know the neighborhoods that you are thinking of moving to as well as those extra special tidbits of information that make the area special or not.. People often say that she really knows everything about the city and she is constantly called for information on the newest restaurant, the hottest club, and subway directions too!

Although Ellen lives downtown and has her office downtown, she does not restrict working to Lower Manhattan, often telling customers that it is a learning experience for her as well as for them as they explore properties all over the city. She feels that the more property that she sees in many different areas the better broker she becomes Her thirteen (13) years as a Real Estate Professional have seen her sell properties from lofts, to traditional apartments, to new developments, in all areas of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

Ellen has been awarded the Chairman's Circle Gold, Platinum and Diamond Awards, placing her in the top 1%of all brokers nationwide. She is a hard worker and will help to make your next real estate transaction, whether it is a sell, a buy, or a building conversion, a pleasant, professional and educational experience.
